Country Life Festival
Held in May, This festival shows off rural arts, crafts, and demonstrations.
Ventnor Crab fayre
Lively show featuring live music, sports, arena events, and assorted tomfoolery from a variety of local performers.
County Press Flower Show
Dedicated Horticultural event held at Osbourne House near Cowes.
Very large show with a lots of demonstratiosn, and requires us to provide several indoor and outdoor PA systems for Q&A sessions and demonstrations
Yarmouth Old Gaffers Festival
This large event holds “Old Gaffer” (vintage yacht) racing over 3 days, together with live entertainment on two stages in the town and on the quay. This reguires us to provide PA coverage to the entire town and the quay, as well as providing sound systems for the all day music performances.
D- Day Air Show, Sandown Airport
Aerobatic and Static displays from a large number of Vintage and WW2 Military
Aircraft, plus Funfair, Military vehicles, and trade stands. The Spectators were positioned along the entire length of an 800 metre runway and display area, requiring us to provide clear coverage to all the spectators.
This event was on the same weekend as the Yarmouth Old Gaffers Festival, which provided us with an immense challenge, but all stops were pulled out and both events were covered without problems.
Isle of Wight County Show
The Island’s main Agricultural Show, held on a 22 Acre dedicated site near Newport. We provide PA coverage for three Equestrian events, a main entertainment ring, and some sideshows continuously during the weekend.
“Thomas The Tank Engine” IOW Steam Railway, Havenstreet
The very popular blue steam locomotive comes here every year, accompanied by
Mr Topham Hat and all his staff. This event is attended by thousands of small exited Children and requires us to provide a PA system and radiomics to cover the Station and length of track, after which we have to clean enough soot of the speakers to keep warm all winter.
Chale Show
One of the largest events on the Island, this show takes place in Chale recreation ground, against a spectacular backdrop of country and sea. This extremely popular show has arena performances from a variety of motorcycle or vehicle display teams, together with a farmer’s market, huge number of covered stalls, craft, horticultural, and poultry on show in large tents. It has 10,000 visitors on each day of the weekend
Steam extravaganza, Havenstreet
This four day event is held on the August bank holiday, and attracts about 5,000 visitors on each day. As well as exhibiting working displays from every type of steam powered transport, the show hosts arena events and also a variety of covered craft, model, and food stalls to cater for all interests.
Woolverton Manor Garden Fair
The immaculately preserved Elizabethan Woolverton Manor presents a large garden fair where every kind of plant and garden implement are on display, as well as continuous entertainment from Elizabethan re-enactment Musicians and actors. We provide PA coverage and full commentry / promotion here.
Apple day, Afton Park. Freshwater
Featured on the BBC “South Today” programme, this event is held by Afton Nursery to promote their own apple products, and also hosts arena displays and many craft and organic produce suppliers. We also provide full commentry / promotion announcements for this event
Hoversow, Lee on Solent
PA and commentry provided for The Hovercraft museum’s annual open day, for demonstrations of all kinds of full size, recreational, and model Hovercraft.
